Sky Bar at Nomad Boutique Hotel

We are excited to launch our section with a very special venue: Sky Bar at Nomad Boutique Hotel.

Opened on June 19, 2020, on the 4th floor of the Nomad hotel, its spectacular panoramic views over Jávea Bay, Portichol Island, and Montgó are truly impressive. Here, on the seafront of Jávea port, the Sky Bar was born, the fruit of its creators’ idyllic dream to capture everything they experienced during their travels around the world.

As Pedro Ortega, the Operations Director, tells us: “The idea was to reflect every continent, every country and city, their bars, and their flavors, aromas, fruits, foods, spices… This simply filled our sensory memory with experiences that have been captured in each cocktail. Behind every story, there is a bonus track that requires many visits and conversations to discover the inspiration behind some of the cocktails.”

Sky Bar is a culinary cocktail destination where guests can enjoy both exotic and classic creations, a true sensory journey for the senses of smell, taste, and sight. This is perfectly reflected in their menu, a clear duality between fantasy cocktails with unique, daring, fresh, and fun flavors, but as Pedro emphasizes, « with a very clear second path deeply rooted in old-school, alcoholic, and classic cocktails with our own twist. »

The identity of the hotel and, of course, the Sky Bar, highlights its roots, two old buildings that have been transformed into one. The use of architectural elements and vernacular materials are integrated into their surroundings and environment. « The hotel exudes Mediterranean life; the interiors elegantly flow outwards where the blue of the Mediterranean can be admired. Reclaimed antique woods, adobe plaster, ceramics, and old Valencian hydraulic tiles are naturally combined with a selection of ethnic objects and small treasures found during our travels in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, » Pedro recounts.

We couldn’t choose just one signature cocktail due to the richness of their menu, so we will recommend several for when you have the good fortune to visit them. Among the most eclectic cocktails, we would suggest: Sherlock’s Pipe, Wild Cat Nomad, Guilty Egg, The Angriest One… Among their bestsellers, we would highlight: One Of Our, Parchita, and Forever Young. And if you prefer classics, you cannot miss the old-school options like: Japanese Journalist, Mr. Smoke, Moonlight.

As evening falls and the sun gives way to the moon, it’s the perfect time to head up to the Sky Bar. Go up and let yourself be surprised.
